2. Loosen center clamp knob (F), turning counter clockwise.

3. Pull upper tube (G) out of fiberglass lower tube 127-152 mm (5-6 in.),

then slide (G) back into fiberglass lower tube exposing inner drive

shaft (H). Align and join star shaped drive end of inner drive shaft

(H) with cutting attachment shaft (I).

4. Align ridges on upper tube (G) with seams in cutting attachment.

5. Slide together, aligning locator screw (E) in cutting attachment with

locating hole (J) in upper tube.

6. Tighten locator screw (E). Tighten four (4) cutting attachment

screws (D).

7. Extend upper tube to desired length. Tighten center clamp knob (F)

turning clockwise.

THROTTLE LINKAGE AND IGNITION LEADS

1. Connect two (2) ignition leads from throttle cable tubing (A) and

(B) to two (2) ignition leads on engine.

2. Place throttle linkage (C) through adjustment fixture (D), and install

wire end into large carburetor throttle swivel hole (E). Check throttle

for freedom of movement and that wide open throttle / low idle

extremes are adjusted properly. The throttle linkage must be

adjusted by moving the adjustment fixture (D). Consult with your

Echo Dealer for correct adjustment procedure.

3. Bundle and secure ignition leads against engine housing with clip

(F).
